Deep and quite opaque violet-purple in colour. Defined varietal aromas of dark forest fruits and subtle mint and bay leaf overtones clearly announce the variety. Dark berry fruit flavours and a hint of earthy complexity lead to a finish with cedary oak notes and fine, slightly chalky tannins.

Quite approachable in its youth with potential for short to mid-term cellaring
