Variety: Nero d’Avola (Rosé)
Vintage: 2016
Pale salmon coloured, with a delicate savoury and complex red berry fruit aroma of strawberry and cherry spice.
The Nero d Avola is grown on a sandy soil site within 1 km of the McLaren Vale coast line and perched at a slight elevation of 44 metres above sea level.
A wine crafted with minimal handling or intervention, it was hand harvested, gently destemmed and then pressed off to old large format French oak barrels. The juice was allowed to naturally warm and to start fermentation before fermenting to dryness. Once bone dry the wine was blended, stabilized and bottled.
